COD ELITE THREAD

a bunch of us have already given our xp to fortay, doesnt make sense to swap after the fact.

Dark, i think we shoud go with the "Fortay", i think sam was just trying to help out...send him an invite to "the Fortay"

i think we can only join 1 clan, and since you have already got 4 members, lets roll with that...

I would have to agree with both of you.

I've already sent invites to everyone on our PSN roster. I just sent him a friend invite, too. So I'll shoot him a message to let him know he's got the clan invite, too, once he accepts.

I sent Veggie a PS3 msg to see which method he used to accept the invite. We need to figure out how to get Ram and the others in.

l4l, which method did you use to accept the invite? Was it the website, or the PS3 app?

i used the website...

IN the Beginning...i would go to the 'career' page, under 'invites' i would see one from Drkened, and click "accept" it would then take me to the Connect page

on the Connect page i would see 'groups' and 'clans' as my two available tabs

so at activisions beheiest

i deleted all my cookies (now now OTHER websites recognize me including this one)

i deleted all my page history, or the cashed or stored versions of my 'favorite' pages, this was not as big of a pain as deleting my cookies...

then i accepted the invite from dark..and it worked, well just long enough to join.




BTW (to delete cookies, stored pages)
go to TOOLS on the top of IE,
then select INTERNET OPTIONS at da bottom,
in the middle of the page is BROWSING HISTORY,
click on the DELETE BUTTON,
a new window pops up, select only COOKIES, HISTORY, and TEMP FILES,
then click DELETE...
then you revisit the Elite page,
if a popup appears asking about showing secure and non-secure click NO, so you see both secure and nonsecure content..
then click the invite sent by DARK,
you will be redirected to the Connect page, and HOPEFULLY for one brief second, see THREE tabs, 'Fortay' , 'Clans', and 'Groups'...

if you see the 'Fortay tab for even 1 second, you have accepted the invite

will this EVER get fixed proper? IDK...so far that has been the only thing i have realy done on the elite page, since id rather play then fuck around with a webpage i KNOW to have faults, so dont buy a new computer, this is just activision Bullshit, which they BETTER fix soon...can anyone say class action lawsuit? remember we PAID for this crappy website...

also, i use tons of both complex and secure webpages daily, from my personal bank, government sites, ebay, utube, paypal, I have NEVER had a problem, until i ran afoul of the ELITE site...my adobe and java are current, my IE is up-to-date...so i am TOTALY blaming activision for this one...

IT IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER...

that being said, Fredd, Dark? can you think of any explanation why this does NOT work for me as it does for you? what internet browser are you guys using? security settings? any clue?

I use FireFox 3.16 exclusively when connecting to the COD:Elite website, because IE8 doesn't work very well with it.

I just realized that Ram's name was not on the pending invite list, so I'm re-sending it.

I sent a friend invite to Samcro, but I don't think he's accepted it yet. I'm going to start sending PSN messages to the users with pending invites, just in case they are not checking this site as often.

Now that we've got you and Lookin in, should I promote one of you to the role of leader? I don't know if there can be more than one leader, and I'm certainly fine with not being in charge of things.

Sounds good. I'll make the change next time I log in to the Elite site.

Done. Ram is now the Elite Clan Leader.

Don't forget, we also have a Fortay group. We could use that for communication with non-members, for either recruiting, or clan membership requests, along with the website.

I think it's word of mouth. Just tell people to search for Fortay, in the search for group dialog box thingy. Then click the name to access the group, and the + sign next to the name to join the group.

WHERE DA FLUK IS OUR DLC???

How often were they supposed to be offering DLC? I know in their marketing meterial they referenced something like 20 pieces of DLC!?!

I'd like to know this as well.. I haven't heard a peep about any DLC as of yet

Well, I just received an email yesterday welcoming me to COD:Elite. In this email, it mentions the free DLC. The free DLC is monthly, but only during the 9-month DLC season? WTF is that! Since when is there a DLC season?

lets face it, the winter is when the most people play, since there are many outside things to do during the summer...

the winter is for spending months trying to join an elite clan....

isnt that a way of saying, "we totaly screwd up the release of MW3, elite wasnt ready, the DLC wasnt ready, the chat wasnt ready, but we wanted HUGE stack of cash, and we didnt want to wait, so we just released it anyway, thanks suckers"

Unfortunately, they will probably wait until after the X-mas rush has settled, before they even think about releasing any DLC. Which I think would be complete bullshit, IMO, and completely disregards those of us that pre-ordered, or purchased the game on release.

IMO, we absolutely should have seen a DLC, even if it was just a new gun, or a single map, during the time between release and x-mas. Otherwise, what was the advantage to getting the game when we did?

I absolutely agree with you on this one! Sounds kinda like Microsofts business model!

Elite Ver 2.0 is out..no huge changes, but a move in the right direction! download and check it out!

im not sure if he has elite, but invite him, if he does we can get the custom tags, if he pisses Fredd off, we can boot him

LMAO.. I looked him up.. and I am tracking him as of now, he is not signed up for elite. Also Harvey needs to sign up too. The invites to Gnu and Dooley are still pending...

The Elite app for iOS is pretty good, too. Almost better than the PS3 app, IMO.

i was playing online yesterday, and i saw an ad scrollling across the bottom about Smart Phone Apps for Elite...i was like..WOW i cant even see the online version, and they have a smart phone app out...

im sooo glad ram can use the CPU based Elite, cuz it still dont work for me ) :

I guess I never got to explain.. To get me elite to work..

I had to start a new elite account.. (different email address)

I had to delete elite from the PS3 and all the stored updates.

I had to reinstall elite to the ps, relink my psn and play for a few hours.

Then log into Elite on the PS from the new email elite account I set up...

hmmm, cuz i realy think this is a browser issue for me, it shows me all sorts of stuff about my gamer account, the only problem i seem to have is the "connect" section, it just wont display "Fortay", it has the link for clans, and friends, but no Fortay on my CPU, on my PS3 it seems to work fine...
