Battlefield 3 WITH GAMEPLAY

I'm on battlelog, joined up for the beta, but as I have to wait til christmas for battlefield, I don't think I'll be using it much! is this not the same as COD Elite?

Basically yea but it's a cleaner interface in my opinion.

Side-note; Am I seriously the ONLY one in the ENTIRE GAME who's bothered to add a clan tag?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Naw, the jets are easy enough to fly; just I can't shoot for shit in them... :/


It's the attack helicopters which I struggle to fly with though....

Scout choppers are oddly better or some reason....

I can fly both jets and helis easily but can't get points or kills in the jets and I even have heat seekers in it. I love the little bird along with the Attack helis more though, plus the ain't bad if you know how to fly it right.

Well, picked up a copy and started playing multi-player and the campaign.

Campaign is MUCH more serious than BFBC2, which isn't bad, but I liked the humorous dialog of BFBC2.

Multiplayer is pretty fun, too. Only gripes so far are leveling up, which takes FORFUCKINGEVER!!!!!, and the tactical lights! WTF is up using them on daylight maps, and since when does a tac light blind you when you are already in full sun!! Aside from those two items, I really can't complain much about multi-player.

yuh the tac light pisses me off too... But still.... The multiplayer on this game is awesome...

Im told the campaign sucks compared to MW3 and that the multiplayer is good, and has better respawns than cod.

Campaign was never DICE's strong suit but hey it's pretty decent. The MP is the best thing though just like CoD. The spawns are based on teammates and a set spawn area which no one from the other team can enter. Rarely any spawn camping in this game. It's completely team based except for TDM but that is expected and since the CoD noobs have their MW3 you can actually find a team that uses Teamwork now. IMO blows every CoD game out the water but so far I prefer BC2.

I guess we are back to the whole GT5 vs Need for Speed type argument (BF3 being GT5, and MW3 being Need For Speed). One is reality focussed, one is arcade type run n gun play. Its simply take your pick time as to which one you prefer.

Campaign on BC2 was funner to play, mostly because of the dialog between the other members of the team.

BF3 is definitely more serious.

Haven't played the MW3 campaign, but if it's anything like MW, and MW2, it probably more like BF3.

Another game with a prettty good campaign is SOCOM4. It's a little tough to get past the third person POV, but you are FPS when ADS, so that helps make up for it. It's also pretty cool being able to deploy your team to specific points on a map, for cover fire or fire support.

A couple of my friends are playing SOCOM non-stop - never really heard of it before. How do you rate compared to cod or bf?

Campaign is on par with both, but it has an edge in being able to deploy your team members to separate locations on the map as mentioned above. That, IMO, sets it apart from the other two. In fact, now that I think about it, it's very similar to BC2.

Multiplayer is probably most similar to BF, but BF gets an edge with building damage. There's something about being able to blow out the side of a building, to set a game a couple notches above the others.

COD probably has the best MP game play, probably because there really isn't any physics to deal with, which makes for less thinking while playing. Out of the three, I'd say COD and SOCOM have the most similar MP game play, though.

Definitely worth checking out as a rental, if you don't want to put down the cash to purchase it.

The Back to Karkand Map Pack is Out!!!!!! It comes with Four remastered maps from Battlefield 2 and 8 new weapons! If you Pre Ordered the game you get if for free(like me) otherwise It'll cost you $15. I've played it and love wake Island, it reminds me of my time on BF1943, plus Gulf of Oman is a treat to see all updated. But I have some unfortunate news to report, I am currently indisposed to play BF3 for an undetermined time due to my idiot brother tipping my 360!?!?!

ya know, from reading the blog, im realy thinking of trying BF, but i do like how COD seems to be a FPS, where you cant 'fly' planes...i guess i better try b4 i comment...

Well if it's a Limited Edition then no otherwise it'll cost you some.

Someday I'll get back to playing BF3, but for now, COD is kicking some major ass!!

I finally have a new disk and I'm extremely anxious to get back to playing Karkand maps again and finally unlock that G53 and FAMAS I've been waiting for since my disk got screwed up.

A notice to anyone who cares:

Two things are hitting BF3 soon that you might want to know. The first one is Premium which is like Elite again but since Battlelog is free you only get a fancy Knife, some Dogtags, some new Assignments, and get the DLC for free(And Early?).

The second thing is the new DLC Close Quarters! It has 4 new maps, 10 new weapons, 10 new assignments, 5 new dogtags, more destruction, and 2 new game modes.

BF3 would be better if you could actually play full games with people.
