theater mode?

ohh. i like getting claymore kills, but dont like being killed by them. theyre much easier to spot that bouncing bettys though! those were terrible. you could place one in a 3x3 inch square of grass and nobody would see it unless they had waw's hacker type thing.

yep. i remember on the night level with the one room that had the ladder to get up to it and it was really easy to get underneath the map over to the right of where the good spawn was (one where you could get under) there was a little dip in the ground that people would put bettys in and theyd always get somebody unless you died too quickly.

Makin thats the one! i knew it was something similar to somewhere in georgia, but couldnt quite reach it. (its Macon, btw). i loved that map. i kinda wish they would make the old game maps available as dlc for new games. that would be so awesome. waw maps are still my favorite. bringing back old guns would be cool too. like how they have different game matches or whatever in blops (player, private, theater, etc.) they could do "mw2 guns", "mw guns", "waw guns" and so on, so that people who like old guns wouldnt be at a disadvantage to the guys with super accurate mw2 guns. of course such a game would be HUGE and probably super laggy if anyone had less than perfect connection.

I haven't played WaW in forever. I don't think I've even pres'd on that one yet.

Speaking of Theater mode, has anyone checked out the Community and changed the filter to include videos you are included in? I did it the other day, just to see what there was, and I was surprised to see 4 videos come back that I was included in. One of the I joined mid-game, but was still pretty strange to see myself in someone elses video.

Anyway, I thouht that was interesting.

BTW, can someone link the kill video topic. I haven't been able to find it.

dark- i have not done that. ill do it when i get on next. that sounds pretty awesome. im sure kempo finds himself in other peoples videos, but they arent cod related... if you get where im going...

Has any one spent any time messing around with the new dolly camera system?

I've tried it out, but i'm still trying to get the hang of it. Would have been perfect for my nade kill. Hmm, I wonder if that game is still in my recent games list?

i still have no idea what its for or how to use it. its just another thing to cycle through.

I think you can use it to create "cinematic" shots, with your own index

Yeah, you can place cameras at different spots around the map, at different times, and then play the video back using the Dolly cam mode. It will follow the cameras through the time line. Pretty cool, but a little awkward at first.

My first attempt had the camera zooming through a building and then down into the ground to get to the next camera. Very weird!

I think with a bit more practice it could be used to setup a really cool film clip.

I'll post up a video if I ever get it figured out.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, the best? No way, Dome was the Best hands down. It's still extremely fun but so is WaW the best Call of Duty(IMO).

i still think WM2 was teh beastest i used to pwned teh newbs wit ma grenade launcher and OMA JUST KIDDING i liked COD 4

dark- remember it can only be 30 seconds long hah, they add stuff to theater but dont make it much better, just fancier.

top- things about it made it great, i liked single shot rifles a lot and most bolt actions. that way people dont just spray at epic range and kill me. though the rg were terrible! run around corners and blow both yourself and the other guy up, that is worse that toobing in mw2. i did like how it was the last thing you got though.

brock- cod4 is good too, just not enough to do. i seem to play the same maps over and over and there are only so many attachments to get, it gets boring quickly.

i still say mw2 is best. it had many flaws, but it was still the most fun to play. tons of stuff to do and killing toobers never gets old. i was definitely hoping blops would replace it, but it fell short, very very short.

Jt: I can agree with about the RG's the problem with them is there completely unexpected and then your dead. it's still wasn't as bad as MW2 "Mortar Crews" I've encountered.

CoD4 was a great, guns where fun, the maps are pretty good, and it's still is my favorite SnD game. Plus the Deagle is just rape on that game unlike MW2.

Yeah i got bored with cod 4 quickley and with all the frustration i had with mw2 i still am glad i played it

tg- never run into a mortar crew, is that just teams that all rg and oma?

brock- i got to level 20 or so sniping only, had the acog and i think 50+ headshots a piece for the first two snipers and got bored. i dont like the other guns, i just want to snipe and im bored, so i havent played in a while. as you said though, im glad i played them, that way when cod debates come up im not the kid saying, "aww cod14 is the greatest since cod11, you guys dont know what youre talking about." but can actually add some good points into an argument.

JT: A "Mortar Crew" is when 1+ more guys have RG's and OMA and the literally stand in one place and toob the map.

How so? I don't get it, I enjoy BLOPS for being different and not the same as MW2, instead enjoying it on its own merits. I never ever saw it as a replacement, just as the Bond film "The World Is Not Enough" wasn't a replacement for "Goldeneye" (draw similar comparisons with other successful/less successful Bond films).

i just have more fun playing mw2. probably because i like sniping and it always pisses me off on blops. plus you have to actually work for attachments rather than buying them.

Yeah I had fun with MW2 but there is so many things that are wrong with it that I just can't like it. Blops in my book is 10x better than MW2 was plus I have way more fun with it.

So I had some time the other night and played around with placing cameras and using Dolly mode. Pretty cool mode once you get an idea of how to place the cameras. I also realized you can record multiple segments and merge them all together. I'm gonna try some more this week to see if I can edit together something cool.

I made a new video using the Dolly mode and it never uploaded. I confirmed it is under the 30 second limit, and I rendered it, but still nothing.

I'm gonna try to re-render it tonight to see if it uploads.

This was my first time using the Dolly cam thingy so it's not that great, but you'll get the idea.



I was messin around a little last night using the FPS, Dolly and Free roam modes. With the right planning, you could produce a pretty sweet video clip.

dang that was sweet dark! very very nice. and i agree, if theater mode isnt in future games, ill be very upset. probably my favorite addition to the series, next being wager matches... well thats about all theyve added, but you get the idea xD
